Melbourne on foot

Laid back – that’s one good word to describe the City of Melbourne.
Don’t get me wrong, laid back doesn’t mean boring. The city has a unique charm that makes it very interesting and happening.

Federation Square

Compared to Sydney, Melbourne has a smaller city centre, which means, you will be able to see the sights and reach tourist attractions by foot!
So here are some of the photos I took while strolling around the beautiful city of Melbourne.
On the opposite side of the road from the Federation Square (FedSquare) is Flinders Street Station which serves as the center of all the metropolitan rail network in Melbourne.

Walking further from the station is the Yarra River.

Where we also spotted the Eureka Tower. (I’ll be posting a separate entry on my experience at the Eureka Sky Deck, soon.)

Southgate has some of the coolest bars and restaurants along the quay.

Traveling along the Yarra River, you can also find the Arts Centre Melbourne

It kinda resembles the Eiffel Tower to me, though.

St. Paul’s Cathedral

And ran into some cute ponies!

and of course, didn’t miss the famous Melbourne Alley Graffiti!

All that walking definitely made us hungry. Good thing there are a lot of food stores and bake shops along the way!

Melbourne is definitely one city I’ll visit again, soon.

Awesome architecture!
